The new version of Photo AI 1.40 is not giving me the same quality results as the previous version

The new version of Photo AI 1.40 is not giving me the same quality results as the previous version. How can I resolve this issue?

That’s not much to go on. Can you describe the differences? Examples?

As usual with Topaz two steps forward one step back…
I notice that the suggested or after photo now looks terrible as it is very over sharpened. As if the autopilot has been lobotomized.
BUT I now realize that you added autopilot preferences under the colon in the upper right and changing the sharpening default mostly fixed this for me.

I’m none too impressed by Topaz AI 1.4.0 – it crashes immediately a soon as I try to export my images. That happened occasionally with the previous version of Topaz AI, but on 1.4.0 the crash occurs everytime.

With the old version, if I tried again the crash would not happen. I just had to re-try the outputting.

But with Topaz AI 1.4.0 the crash occurs EVERY time and I cannot output any images. Is a refund possible?

Andy, I am working with RAW files only. The new version of Photo AI does not appear to examine the picture in its entirety. Using pictures with len blur or motion blur, the sharpen tool is not utilized. I have to manually apply the feature.

Wow, you really put the brakes on this one. Slow, slow, slow.

I agree! I HATE this new version. Prior to this I recommended this product to everyone. There’s no way I would recommend it now. This version sucks and I’m extremely disappointed.

The algorithm appears to be completely off. I also noticed that the subject detection is off. For example, this version will detect one or two small objects using landscape scenery. Can you fix this as well?

Do you have example images where the subject detection is not working properly?

For sharpen to work best, the subject detection needs to be accurate first.

Open Topaz Photo AI, go to the menu bar on the top and click the Help > Open Log Folder menu option. Email me all the logs files that you can see in the window that opens.
