The new Beta Erase feature is way, way, too slow. It is so slow that it is really not usable at this time.

Steps to reproduce issue:

  1. Step 1 Try and use the Beta tool “Erase”.
  2. Step 2
  3. Step 3

Well, without giving any details about your system/hardware I guess no one can tell much.

If you don’t have a good enough GPU, it will only use the CPU for the remove function, and that is very, very slow.

I have a GTX 1060 6Gb which sits idle during the remove process (I think 8Gb GPUs are currently set as a minimum requirement for GPU processing).
