I don’t SEE this topic anywhere recently, but on both my computers - desktop and laptop - both Windows 11 Pro, the [ and ] have stopped changing the brush size in the masking again…
It WAS working at some point, but it didn’t appear to work in 2.0.1 (at least not on my desktop, which I haven’t seen in 6 weeks while traveling), and I just updated both systems to 2.0.6 and it’s not working on either of them…
I looked in the preferences and it still SAYS [ and ] should work.
The Shift+[ and Shift+] DO still work to change feathering…
Did something change that I’m missing? If so, HOW do I get things back to they work to change the size of the brush?
That’s odd, I’m on the latest version and the brackets still work for me. Try rerunning the installer. Please disable antivirus, firewall, VPN, or proxy that may be on your computer. These are known to block some files during installation.
No VPN, no proxy, the only antivirus or firewall is Windows Defender and that’s been on here for 3 years. Nothing new, nothing strange, nothing other than the regular updates…
I tried reinstalling 2.0.6. Didn’t work, still no functional brackets.
Used the nuclear option. Uninstalled the current version. Then found every occurrence of “Topaz” on the system, and anything that pertained to Photo AI was deleted. When I was done there was NOTHING from Photo AI left.
Installed 2.0.6 and the 95 whatevers that went with it. Took a couple hours just for the install, but it finally finished, and the brackets appear to be working again…
I’m not sure where whatever it is that makes the brackets work is, but I’d REALLY LIKE NOT to have to blow this whole thing away in the future to keep them working…
