I was rather hoping that, with the scheduled maintenance to this forum, that the jumble of multiple categories would be sorted out but no such luck. I usually post only in three, ‘Scenery and Architecture’, ‘People and Animals’, and ‘Other Cool Photos’ on the premise that all my photos will fall in one or the other. Does anyone even look at the categories any more? Are they still necessary?

I just view the new messages, so it doesn’t matter which category they are in.
However a new user with a particular interest may benefit from having categories.
