Hi. I’m new to this so I tried the built in tutorial in Gigapixel for ‘Basic Resizing’. It worked for the first 3 of the 7 steps but at the 4th step (after following the instruction of typing in the number for width) the link to get to the next step stayed unlit and was un-clickable so I couldn’t get past the 4th step in the tutorial. Thanks for any help.
Hi Siriusaiart. Sorry to hear you’re having problems with the Basic Tutorial, it’s a minor Bug but not really let me explain.
When you open an image in Gigapixel and play with the settings, Gigapixel remembers the previous settings you entered.
However when you try one of the the built-in Tutorials, Gigapixel is expecting the settings to be in the original positions (Default Settings if you like) so, if something has been changed Gigapixel gets confused.
Luckily this is a simple fix for you
Open Gigapixel and run the Basic Tutorial again follow the information until you get to step 3
Resizing by Pixel Amounts:
The Tutorial is asking you to type in an amount of “1800” in the Output Width box. However when you try this nothing happens it’s not working, that’s because for Gigapixel something has changed.
So how do we fix this for you:
Don’t exit the Tutorial stay in step 3
Look at your on screen Control Panel, where it says Output Width, you’re see a number and next to that a drop-down menu for selecting px (Pixel), in (Inches) or cm (centre meters). This is when the hiccup happens.
All you have to do to rectify this behaviour is simply select px from the drop-down menu, and you will be able to continue with the Tutorial.
