Suggestion: Enhance AI needs time feature on the display

Having that functionality would be most useful. Currently, pinpoint a location in a video clip requires going through a rather hit-or-miss effort to dial into that location. This is both awkward and time-consuming.

It would be very useful locate a precise position on a video clip for the purpose of preview or setting an in/out marker. Currently the only position indicator is the frame numbers on each end of the display, and these can’t be set. Most video utilities have a position indicator in the form “HH:MM:SS:FF.”

Usually, that, can be used to key in the desired “HH:MM:SS:FF” and have the focus immediately go to that location.

Good idea, but regarding the usual use cases of VAI, I would think, it shouldn’t create burned in time code (BITC) on export.

From your explanation I understand that you know the time codes you are searching for already when entering Topaz?

If so, are you aware that the time code display allows entering time code?

After entering an existing time code and hitting enter, it jumps to the entered frame. Haven’t checked the function for precision, though.
