I’ve encountered a recurring issue in Video AI across all versions I’ve used. The more I apply Fix Compression with Iris (Medium), the more I notice what I call the “dot artefact”—an issue that appears to be introduced by Video AI itself.
This artefact is present even when Fix Compression is set to 0 and becomes more pronounced as the value increases. I’ve attached images to illustrate the problem. Interestingly, this does not occur when using Low Quality settings, but those settings significantly compromise image detail. I’ve also tested Proteus, which produces even worse results. So far, Iris (Medium) yields the best outcome for me, but it’s hindered by these dot artefacts. Please note that the dot artefacts are most pronounced in darker scenes.
Is there a known solution for this? And if not, could this be addressed in a future update?
On a related note, I noticed that owners of previous versions of Video AI can no longer test new versions without watermarks. I’d like to suggest reconsidering this decision, as many of us who have purchased the software are still waiting for fixes to long-standing issues—such as the one I’ve raised here—that remain unresolved in newer releases.
Looking forward to your thoughts!
P.S. I’ve uploaded screen captures below, but I’ve noticed that the images are being so heavily compressed upon display that the issue I’m posting about is not even visible. This is a major problem, as both support staff and the community need to be able to see uploaded images in full clarity to properly diagnose and discuss issues.
Looking forward to your thoughts!
