Stupid system

Can’t find the exif info for my images in topaz. Help system is unforgivably obscure. Lot’s of complaints and noticing issues around exif. How could such a basic need be implemented so sloppily. Am I missing something here?

Could you tell me if you are using Topaz Photo AI as a plugin or as a standalone application?

I’m using it standalone via opening the image using “open with” photoai.

Can you tell me why using the reply at the bottom of your message takes me to the last replay I made a couple of days ago and why the text from that reply is still there? I’m not sure this will actually be a reply since there are two blue tabs saying replay and one grey tab saying reply. Why so many opportunities to reply and why do none of them actually open up a reply other than that old reply from the initial inquiry?

Are you on a Windows or a MacOS machine while using Topaz Photo AI?

Is your last paragraph in reference to the Forum post? I just want to make sure I fully understand your question before answering.

mac. yes the muliple response buttons have to do with the support interface

My files are jpegs from a nikon z8. I can see the exif in pixea. I can send you a jpeg or a nef (raw).

what I find most frustrating is not being able to see any references to exif in the help files for Topaz. I do so lots of historical problems though. Most of them seem to focus on their being deficiencies in the contents but I’m unable to even find a reference to exit in the software other than in the problem reports. I’m not finding anything for lightroom cc as opposed to classic as well.

Thanks for that information, I will be sure to share this with the team who is working on the Topaz Labs Documentation page in order to help them possibly address this issue in future updates.

To help with the images you are working on I’d like to be able to run some test on these files you are using that you report issues with the EXIF data to get a better understanding of this issue.

You can securely submit your image(s) to my Dropbox using the link below.

Dropbox File Request

Please be sure to send me a note to let me know you sent something.

In particular what areas of information in the EXIF data are you referring to?

I sent you a jpg and a nef of the same image.

thanks,

Mike

Thanks for sending in those files. I think I may have missed or misunderstood your initial question regarding EXIF data.

Currently there is no way to check metadata inside Topaz Photo AI. If this is a feature that you are requesting I would recommend creating a post in the following section of the Topaz Labs Community Forums:

Sorry to be so blunt but not providing access to information included in the raw files from Nikon is a glaring oversight on the part of Topaz.

Now I’ve just found that my Gigapixel ai binary is wait wait wait…16.28 GB! Are you kidding me? Photo AI is 10+ GB. Both were updated on June 14th. Why are they so big? I’m about to reinstall gigapixel to see if there was a problem with the upgrade.
