Can anyone PLEASE tell me how to stop the Autopilot from running (and yes, DISABLED is selected in preferences.) It’s super frustrating as I cannot click on the other edit parameters until it goes through it’s process. Thanks.

In short: you can’t.
I was hoping that wasn’t the answer. ARG! I think many of us are truly grateful for programs, we just want to use them as efficiently as possible. And that dang thing always comes up. Sadly, regardless of disabling the thing! Thanks so much for the kind reply.
