I can’t export when using the LR plugin from plugin extras or Edit In. It says “Error: Cannot open output file.”
Steps to reproduce issue:
Select Process in Topaz Photo AI from LRC
Make changes
Export back to LRC
I got it working briefly when I had an NTFS drive and gave everyone permission to access, but now I’m on exFAT for Mac compatibility. Same problem happens every single time.
If it helps: my presets are saved with the catalogue.
Why don’t I have logs and how do I fix this? It’s been months.
Think I found the problem. Did a full uninstall. Cleaned out some old registry entries but don’t think that did anything so I’d try without. Went looking for old folders and found legacy cache files in Appdata and in c:\ProgramData under Topaz LLC and Photo AI. The c:\ProgramData appeared to be the problem because it’s access permissions excluded me. I had to take ownership and delete the content sitting there, and grant users permissions. Once I did that and reinstalled, the whole AI model and process changed, so I guess it was running old models or something and failing. It also started logging for the first time. Works fine now.
