Here’s a pen & ink/watercolor of a paper mache mobile hanging from a skylight in our kitchen. This is one of three we’ve had for years, purchased in Olympia from Childhood’s End Gallery. I’ve always enjoyed the lightheartedness they provide and now clearly a good contrast to the daily news. I had fun painting the dress which is several layers of blending Imperial Purple and Opera Pink. The grass is a mixture of Cascade Green and Green Apatite Genuine. The pallet of colors are from Daniel Smith’s Jean Haines’ Master Artist Set. The colors in the kite are from an Aqua-mini set by Sennelier.
