First, I’m still at v3.5.3 because I’ve been working on this for two weeks, trying to refine the output on a tough job. I’ve reached the perfect setting, that produces a gorgeous output…IF it was a STILL image.
But, the interlacing (or maybe the original compression) is causing a “sizzling” in the image (like light refracting around a hot object).
The sizzling noise is mostly horizontal which makes me think one of the models isn’t handling the interlaced input very well.
Can you please take a look at this and try it on your end?? Can I hope for a fix soon? I want to get this job done, and get it out of my life. Please e-mail me; I would love to hear from you.
Settings:

Second Enhancement: Intermediate AUTO, Iris Medium

System details are in my user profile.
Everything you need to reproduce the problem is attached, as well as the output I am getting.
The sizzling can easily be seen when the subject closes her eyes and everything is still.
Please note: I chose to keep the original pixel geometry because the models were not reverting the compression successfully unless the input was completely untouched. It would be great to get rid of all that black area, but any pixel change was affecting the quality of the output. BTW…version 2x did a really good job of cleaning this up with Proteus alone, but I lost the output file.
This got to be a novel. Hope all the info helps.
