Software closes after selecting image file

I paid for the upgrade, downloaded and installed. Launched programme and selected a jpg file. It then shows thermometre bar “Analising” and the prog closes. I did a fresh reboot but the problem persists. so can no longer use the software. (PC, Win10,)
