Smudges randomly appear on Topaz Photo 2.1.3 (Windows 11)

Problem randomly occurs. Reproduction of issue might not always produce the results. Some of the following Steps might or might not be relevant. Also note that perhaps a month or two ago, I had reported this same type of issue but with two other images.

Steps to reproduce issue:

  1. Load 10 images into Topaz Photo batch process.
  2. One at a time, select an image:
3 Verify subject is correctly selected by hovering over Subject.
  3. Click Removing Noise; select Normal. (Side note: separate bug issue: If I don’t click Removing Noise AND I do click Pres

erving Text, I will get MORE noise in the non-Text areas.)
  4. Select Preserving Text (if image contains text images) and mark the Text.
  5. Click Apply.
  6. Repeat for each image.
  7. Click Save 10 Images.
  8. Click Save.
Process generates 10 images. One has a grey smudge. (In the prior examples of this happening a month or two ago, the smudges were different shapes, but all were grey.

A few others are reporting similar issues.

I’m seeing the vertical lines added because of topaz ‘Sharpening’. If you want sharpening done. Turn it off, and use another software. When this happens… for now. But the black smudges will go away, until they fix the issue.
