We will need the logs to review what is going on. The Nyx model is a heavy model and does take a lot of resources to run. You can post the logs here or if you would prefer to send them directly to the support staff you can do so at help@topazlabs.com
To gather logs, please select Help > Logging > Get Logs for Support and attach the zip file to your reply.
Here is a video to help with the steps of how to collect the logs.

Hi Kyle,
Thx for the swift response. I alse made a screen recording.
If you sent me a link i can upload it to you. It includes Activity monitor. The Mac M4 CPU cores and GPU are not sweating
I now used Proteus without any addistional settings.
It is 1.5 fps. And that is slow to cleanup footage.
Good luck,
Pim

Hi Kyle,
I just uploaded the .mov file.
Filename: SlowPreviewMac.mov
Hope you can help to make it swing.

Have you run a benchmark process on this system to see what the app estimates the performance rates will be?
Process>Benchmark
You can compare the results against other users on the benchmark page here.
The video shows you are getting around 1.4 fps in processing with a 4k video and Proteus. Which is a little slower than expectations but not far off.
Hi Kyle,
That is aan interesting statement from you.
If you check my movie you see that cpu and gpu are not very busy.
How can we tune your software. Or is it that bas on a Mac? Then it should be on the website. I followed thenadvise of your collegue in a support call on Photo AI to buyba M4 Mac. So I did. Now that I want to clean up some 4K footage yountell mentors is it……
Met vriendelijke groet,

When you say you’re using Proteus on a 4K video - are you upscaling this 2x to 8k?
If yes, this will be very slow, and that not only on the Mac, btw.
I get a Benchmark Speed for this operation (4K → 2x) of 2,55 fps on my M2 Ultra:
Other benches in that thread show an RTX 3080 giving about 2.6 fps and a M3 Max with 1.36 fps:
Have you tried Proteus at 1x or - likely better - downscaling the video in advance to FHD and then upscaling in TVAI 2x again?
Hi,
No upscaling. Just noise cleaning. It footage inside a room sharp but noisy
Good suggestion. I will try that tomorrow
Do that and please, report back.
Oh, and you definitely should remove your Phone number and email from your previous posts in this Forum as everyone can see those including SPAM bots and malicious people.
Done.thx
Thx for that
