Your app is slow in so many things I realize my MacBook Pro is 2012, but 16GB memory and its SSD it took so long to enable the removal tool I ended up canceling and starting over.
It’s not the app that’s slow but your 11-year-old Mac. The removal tool is very GPU intensive so it’s possible that it won’t work on your machine. However, try leaving it on to download the models overnight. Even on my newer but not bang-up-to-date M1 Mac it took several minutes first time round.
By the way, you are not talking to Topaz Labs here but to other users.
Thanks for the reply, I do know the computer is old, but Mac hang on longer most all the graphic apps run ok though until I got this app it’s really showing its age. I really like this app, but is it worth upgrading my Mac, no.

You need a GPU with at least 8gb of VRAM, to run this software.
It might be worth following the procedure outlined by another Mac user on another thread:
Open Finder, Click Go at the top and select Go To Folder from the menu. From there, go to ~/Library/Prefrences and delete any com.topazlabs.Topaz Photo AI.plist files. Restart your Mac and the issue should be resolved.

This resolved my problems. I’m NOT on an old Mac, mine is a brand new MacBook Pro M2 with lots of RAM. Before I deleted all preferences (I had to reactivate the licence after that), the Topaz Photo AI UI was so slow it was unusable. Just getting up a menu required minutes!
Now everything is slick and smooth.
