The sharpen pane jumps in front of the main pane when docked to the sidebar, covering the sidebar.
You have to close the sharpen pane and reopen it again to be able to use the sidebar.
The problem only appears with Sharpen, not with Denoise or Recover faces, …
I reported this some while ago on a former version. It disappeared on 3.2.1, but I get it back on 3.3.x now.
Meanwhile I changed hardware because other restrictions in Topaz & Photoshop.
- motherboard: Asus ProArt Z790 creator Wifi
- Intel core i9 14900KS
- 32 GB DDR5
- Asus TUF-RTX4070-O12 with 12GB VRam
- Windows 11
Steps to reproduce issue:
- open “sharpen” to adjust sharpening
- if the sharpen pane is not attached to the sidebar, click on … and dock it to the sidebar
The sharpen pane is now nicely next to the main sidebar
- Click on the “edit selection” and do your selection or correct the subject by painting
- click on “controls” to change the amount of sharpening or denoising
- The sidebar jumps in front of the sidebar and makes it impossible to do other operations unless you close the “sharpen” pane.
PS: Topaz AI is used as a plugin in Adobe Photoshop

First, to help with the troubleshooting process, I would like for you to follow the steps below to clear the registry, as some users have reported this resolving this particular case:
After this process, please make sure to restart your machine.
I’ve made a test after clearing the registry keys, uninstalled Photo AI, restarted and reinstalled.
For now, it seems to be solved. Thank you.
Sunday I’m having a photoshoot in my studio. So probably editing some pictures next week.

Today, I was doing a couple of pictures. Tought it was solved after your instructions. Clearing the registry keys, deinstalled the version, rebooted, installed again.
When I switch between “Edit section” and “controls”, the pane shifts little by little every time to the right.
It only happens with one module: “Sharpening”.
It doesn’t occur with denoise, adjust light, balance color, …
They only solution is to unlock from sitebar and lock to sidebar again, or close the pane entirely.
It’s not obstructing the module to work, but it’s very anoying that it shifts to the right with every click and covers the main sitebar.
One more detail: it seems to occur when I use my Wacom Intuos 5 tablet.
