Setting for automatic name suffix and file extension

What I miss the most is the possibility to change the automatically added name suffix in the preferences.
So to change the “-edit” to one of my desired name suffix.

Currently I have to change this every time I save.
In my workflow I would like to omit the name suffix completely and then overwrite the file.

This also affects the file extension accordingly.
Topaz Studio sets a “.jpeg” after the file name.
But I would need the extension “.jpg”.

Would it be possible to specify this in the preferences?

For the time being you can just change the extension to jpg each time you save.

That’s exactly what I want to avoid, that the file extension has to change every time I save.

We have added in the short extensions jpg and tif to our latest releases. We will be revisiting other flagship products and making a similar adjustment in the near future.
