As soon as I select text, Photo AI freezes - CPU use goes to 0

@richardl123 Thanks for bringing this to our attention.
Please upload the logs so I can see what’s going on in the application. To do that, open Topaz Photo AI and go to the Help > Open Log Folder menu option and drag and drop the files to a reply here.
I should be able to determine next steps given that information.
Hi there,
I found out that a process - ‘reportcrash’ - was using 120% CPU and slowing everything down so much that Topaz AI was unable to finish. By a process of elimination I worked out that Adobe Acrobat (installed via Creative Cloud) was the culprit. I uninstalled it using a 3rd party programme (CC uninstall wouldn’t work) and reinstalled it via a download from the Adobe site. That seems to have done the trick.

Great news! Photo AI is a resource-intensive program so try to do what you can to optimize CPU and GPU usage to minimize crashing.
