SDR to HDR with grain causes chuncky ants!

Pick ANY video as this has reproducable on multiple machines so long as you convert SDR to HDR, where it’s darkish and the scene has bright lights or fire and then include grain (I am also using Proteus) … The lowest I get it to happen with is a grain size 1 and Grain Amount 2. At least to the point it’s garish… you can’t really even detect grain in the rest of the film… but fire and lights… Ooo boy! Just go ahead and test it, open a video file with a dark room and a white light/fire in the room and apply HDR (PQ or HLG) with grain size 1 and 3 for amount…

  1. HDR and Grain introduces horrible artifact on semi dark scenes with bright lights/fire.
