Take 1: Enhanced a raw file - saved 2x upscaled image of the moon and saw that output size was 172mb. realizing it was too large, I aborted the saving process and restarted.
Take 2: Enhanced same raw file but close cropped the subject first then saved 2x upscaled cropped image of the moon and saw that output size was unchanged - 172mb.
Steps to reproduce issue: Repeated the process.

Thanks for reaching out. Are you saving the image out or are you looking at the estimated file size in the export menu?
The file size estimator may be inaccurate and that is a known issue. I would recommend saving the file to see the correct file size instead.
I just tested with a file and used upscale, then crop and upscale. The file size is different in the output when I saved them.
