Saving and exporting without File-type choice and shutdown after processing

When trying to save or export NEF-Files I do not get the choice anymore wether to use dng or jpg. I can’t do veryy much with dng, because before further processing I have to transorm the format anyway. Very annoying is, that after processing the program completely shuts down, I do not find any possibility (settings) to avoid this. This issue causes a very bad workflow.

Steps to reproduce issue:

  1. Step 1 get a rather big NEF-File (60 Mb or bigger)
  2. Step 2 process
  3. Step 3 tryto save or try to export

This is what I get from time to time:

Instruction / Operand / Region Errors:

/-------------------------------------------!!!KERNEL HEADER ERRORS FOUND!!!-------------------------------------------
Error in CISA routine with name: kernel
Error Message: Input V38 = [256, 260) intersects with V37 = [256, 260)

/-------------------------------------------!!!KERNEL HEADER ERRORS FOUND!!!-------------------------------------------
Error in CISA routine with name: kernel
Error Message: Explicit input 2 must not follow an implicit input 0
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------/

the the program is shut down and the processing is omitted.

I’d like to get some more information to help troubleshoot the problem you are having.

Could you send us your computer’s full system profile?

Also if you can, please try to recreate this crash in Topaz Photo AI, then go to Help > Open Log Folder, please send me all of the files within that folder. You should be able to attach them directly as a response to this thread.

If you would prefer you can securely submit your files(s) to my Dropbox using the link below. Make sure to send me a note to let me know you sent something.

As I said before, this error occurs when processing one file only! And, when doing this I do not have options like “save as”, i.e. chosing another filename.

Kernel error message is as follows:

Instruction / Operand / Region Errors:

/-------------------------------------------!!!KERNEL HEADER ERRORS FOUND!!!-------------------------------------------
Error in CISA routine with name: kernel
Error Message: Input V38 = [256, 260) intersects with V37 = [256, 260)
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------/

/-------------------------------------------!!!KERNEL HEADER ERRORS FOUND!!!-------------------------------------------
Error in CISA routine with name: kernel
Error Message: Explicit input 2 must not follow an implicit input 0
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------/

Additionally to this problem I’d like to know, why the cursor is swinging when using the edit selection. What I mean is: I move the mouse 1 inch upward and stop there, but on the screen the selection circle moves up further until it stops. This way it is almost impossible to make a decent selection. The same problem occurs regardless the direction of the mouse moves. I also tried out with a HANVON drawing board, but it does the same.

Best regards

Frank

How to Clear Your Topaz Labs Registry Entries (Windows)

If you continue to have problems please send us and email at help@topazlabs.com

On the first attempt to process a photo I had a total break down of your program before it finished processing.

Kernel error as before, all other symtons as well.

If you are still experiencing problems please reach out to us by sending an email to help@topazlabs.com and our team can investigate together.

I wonder, what I am doing. I reported several times, to have massive problems. Everytime I process one single file, I get a Kernel-error. Additionally the handling of the cursor when trying to select an object is almost impossible. I thought, that somebody is working on that issue. You received several times my logs etc. I uninstalled, reinstalled and so on, but the problem still remains.
