RTX 2080 Ti - 1 hour processing time for a 3-minute video

Subject: RTX 2080 Ti - 1 hour processing time for a 3-minute video

Hi,

I just subscribed and installed Topaz Video (latest version). I’m trying to enhance old camcorder footage from 2002 (SD quality, MP4, 3 minutes long).

My configuration:

  • GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Ti

  • OS: Windows 10/11

  • Settings used: Artemis LQ, Recover Detail 35, Denoise enabled, FHD output, H264

The processing takes approximately 1 hour for a 3-minute video, which seems abnormally slow for this GPU.

Note: During installation, the Neuroserver components failed to install with the error “final swap of install tree failed”. I ran a Repair from the installer afterwards, which seemed to reinstall them, but the processing speed has not improved.

Is this normal? Is there something wrong with my Neuroserver installation? Any advice welcome.

Thank you.

Neuroserver shouldn’t be affecting Artemis, as it’s only for running Starlight models locally.

Running the Denoise model on the Artemis upscaled video could be slowing things down alot, but I don’t really know how much impact it has, since I generally don’t use it. I usually let the upscaling model do the denoising, as I’m not working with very noisy footage.
