I made: pause process
after some minutes: resume process
did not work.
absolute frustrating
Update:
After spending one more night with rendering.
The process is not closing.
We are a media/audio production.
There is no time and money to block a machine for testing out toys.
We are no beta testers… we payed and expect a working tool.
Did you fully waited the temp file was created ?
The app. is not verbose at all with what it’s doing at this point. I work witth FFV1 export and it can takes many minutes so write the temp and give the ability to resume encoding.

yes, I’ve waited some time, ( apple shows - the program did not answer)
but no, I did not wait especially for creating " a temp file"
I didn’t know that this could be neccessary…
Is it documented anywhere?
the same happened to me yesterday. the safest way to pause and resume is to just exit the application via the X button and re open it again later.

To gather logs, please select Help > Logging > Get Logs for Support and attach the zip file to your reply.
This way we can try and sort out what happened and why the resume feature did not work.
Horrible… spend one more 16 h rendering… at the end… hangs
May I ask if I can try to process your video file according to your needs? Let’s see if it fails on my end too.
No … not possible. The app hangs soo massive. No restart possible.
New installation seems the only solution. Unbelievable.
In the meantime we started rendering with the beta version…
Now in stages of the file. I think your app is not able to render longer files, complete films
will see the first result in ca. 4h .
I render whole movies all the time. 
With Beta version … rending in 3 parts of max. 1h length … it works.
