Latest version 3.5.0 makes any picture overexposed. Without doing anything.
It’s the version with the Lighting model 2.0. Don’t know if there’s a link. Looks more like Topaz applies a color profile to pictures. but I’m no expert. The bug is real tho. Hoping for a quick fix.
IT’s simple, with all previous versions, I opened any picture, and they looked the same in Topaz as they did in Photoshop or any image browser. With this new version the photos appear overexposed, and it’s not just a “display” bug in PhotoAI. If I save the image from Topaz, it is actually overexposed in any other application I open it afterwards.
Your Camera make and model are you working with RAW, TIFF or JPEG files are you using the Standalone version or as a Plugin in which case what is your host application
Also, here’s a link to get back to the previous version for both Windows and Mac, while you wait
do you have adjust lighting turned on? if so, what happens if you turn it off or switch to v1?
I don’t see exposure/brightness changes when adjust lighting is not enabled.
No nothing turned on. I open image in my image browser (IrfanView), then click open in Topaz, as I do all the time, and when it opens, without anything selected, just doing image analysys as it does, it’s already overexposed.
Don’t know - I don’t see that (or use irfanview). try: Topaz Photo AI v3.5.0 - #20 by holger1104 re srgb preview switching (which doesn’t really do much for me, but it may depend on monitor or graphics subsystem).
also post screenshots, image info, and computer info - some things are inherent to tpai, some things are system dependent.
I reverted to previous release and it looks like it works normally again. Will wait for next update and see if I still have this problem. I will post screenshots if it happens again.
@thierry.malpeli - when you have time to retest the new version, it will be important to make sure you are on the latest driver of your NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 - Studio driver, link here.
