[RESOLVED in v3.4.0] - Crash when using multiple Sharpen enhancements

When sharpening first subject THEN background (OR REVERSE ORDER), app crashes.

Steps to reproduce issue:

  1. Sharpen background/subject (any model)
  2. Sharpen subject/background (any model)
  3. App crashes

The team has discovered an issue with Sharpen in the latest version of Photo AI. We’ve tested this behavior on our side and were able also to reproduce this crash.

I’ve added your information to an ongoing support ticket we have open with the development team. We will contact you directly via this email once we have released a path to resolve this problem.

Open Iamge PEF or TIF 4004x6016

create a de-noise step
Add a Sharpen (make mask for Sky)
Add a second Sharpen Step (make mask for Landscape)
Program will Often Crash with no warning.

Steps to reproduce issue:

  1. Open .tif or .dng file
  2. Let run autopilot (selected step “Sharpen”)
  3. Add a manually new enhancement “Sharpen” => crash

This is BETA. 3.4 is not out yet. You should address your concerns directly to Topaz not here on the community forum.

Oh sorry, I wrote wrong version. It was version 3.3.0. I’ve corrected the description.

Can’t seem to sharpen twice.

I’ve run as many as three sharpen layers on my 3.3 version running a Macbookpro M1Pro 16gb RAM without issue.

Same issue everytime, but I use v3.3.1 on Windows 11
Don’t know why they didn’t fix it, with the latest update.

Hello

Using your photo ai 3 trail version 3.3.2

The program keep crashing while activating 2nd. command. for example Sharpen after Sharpen. The first one works successfully while the second one creates a crash

I tried to follow your suggestions with similar crashes but nothing helps

Not going to purchase a crashing application

I tried to stack two sharpening layers in order to sharpen areas differently. I openned a secon sharpening and almost immediately the program shut down.
