Resolved in v1.0.2 | Plugin Exporting Error

Launched Gigapixel from the menu and enhanced the image using any method. It enhanced the image and when returning to Photoshop I get the error in this screenshot. The new layer just contains the original image, not the enhanced image:

Having similar issue after updating today in Photoshop 2025. Standalone app works fine. In Photoshop get following error when exporting to Photoshop. Have tried reinstalling. Thanks!

Hello!

Can you send your application logs in a support ticket?

  • Launch Gigapixel and go to Help > Open log folder
  • Look for the Logs folder, right-click, and compress it
  • After compressing, attach that .zip file to your reply

Attach in a message addressed to help@topazlabs.com

Thanks :handshake:

It’s ok, I’ve done it via a support ticket now. I put it here in case it was a quick obvious fix you had to do. Developers are working on it.

TopazGigapixelAI-8.4.3 is broken. 'SUP?!

Hi Matthew,

The photoshop plugin is unfortunately not working in version 1.0.0 or 1.0.1 we are currently investigating and is listed in the Release notes in the Known Issues section.

Additionally, Topaz Gigapixel is not a supported as a plugin for Photoshop (Beta).

We apologize for this inconvenience and working to de-bug quickly.

It doesn’t work with Photoshop regular either. How do I get the last version back on my system? It seems you released an update that wasn’t ready.

Same issue. “could not gather image data” is the issue I get when using the plugin in in photoshop. Also every time you open the new gigapixel it always says activating success etc., Very annoying.

Can not open gigapixel plugin in photoshop beta. Keep getting error message " could not gather image data". Tried with several different images.

Same here.

Same here :frowning:

Same here. Use Windows 11 and most current Photoshop beta version

Same issue here. Windows 11 and latest PS Beta version as well as lates Photoshop version. Error message: Could not access image data

Since updating from Gigapixel AI 8.4.4 to the new Gigapixel 1.0.1, the Photoshop plugin stopped working. I have Photoshop 26.10 updated for a long time and the plugin did work with the old version, but now with both versions (8.4.4 and 1.0.1) the plugin fails to run inside Photoshop showing the error “Could not gather image data”.

The standalone Gigapixel app works fine, but the plugin integration is broken. Please confirm if this is a known issue and if there is any fix or plan to restore compatibility with Photoshop 26.10.

Thanks in advance.

Topaz are aware of this issue and it is currently being investigated

Hope this helps

Hi,
when trying to use new Topaz Gigapixel plugin from Photoshop (latest version 26.10.0, x64) the following messages appear:

  1. Could not gather image data
  2. Error: cannot open shared memory for params

It does not happen with Gigapixel AI 8.4.4 plugin which is also installed in the same system after the upgrade to Gigapixel 1.0.1

Thank you

I’m getting “cannot open shared memory for params” for both GigaPixel AI & Photo AI.
Also, getting “Could not gather image data” for GigaPixel (new one).
All 3 apps are OK if run on their own, but not when coming from Photoshop.
