Thank you for the update and apologies for the delay as we are experiencing a ton of volume.

Often, slow processing speeds are related to hardware complications when processing a large image with our Redefine model. Would you mind sharing your full system profile so I may investigate further?

I apologize for the slow processing speeds and just so you are aware, our development team is actively investigating ongoing cloud conflict issues when processing with Redefine. We expect a patch in the coming weeks to address these issue but feel free to let me know if you have further questions.

I just reupgraded for that redefine function to replace another tool, it’s sad I’ll have to wait a few weeks before I’m able to use it…

Even saving the file thru File: Save it hangs been over an hour here too.. No export of image just file>Save…3600x3000 as size…

This also happens to me, it hangs and hangs and is never complete. Very frustrating.

As soon as the preview is generated for the ā€˜Recover’ or ā€˜Redefine’ generative render models, the application crashes. This happens every time, so it is reproducible.

Just updated to Gigapixel v8.0.2 on a Mac Studio M1 Max running Sequoia 15.1. It now quits or crashes on loading any image. Have tried rebooting Mac, restarting Gigapixel, tried various .JPG and .PNG images and even tried reinstalling but no joy. It quits every time. I see this is also happening to PC users. Any fix on the way? Any workaround meanwhile?

BTW I was unable to post the above as a new topic, getting only an error message with the note that I was ā€˜not permitted to view the requested resource’ – so reporting that as an error, as well.

For what it is worth, I have been able to get it to stop crashing on my Mac by deleting the lastSessionFiles.txt from : Library/Application Support/Topaz Labs LLC/Topaz Gigapixel AI/Logs

I am experiencing a similar problem with a MacOS M1proMax processor install. Macbook pro. Save times on export are very long. Any thoughts on how to solve? I reset my app preferences and it does not seem to have solved.

Didn"t work for me. I used the app for 3 or 4 images without problem and now I’ve a crash for every export. (Macbook Pro 2023, M2 Pro, Sequoia)

Similar issue. Crashes on any attempt to use redefine model…seems okay on recover. Mac M2Pro with 16GB Ram and running OS 15.1. Deleted all the files suggested and same result. I feel like before it happened the first time there was a quick message out of ā€œout of memoryā€ but have not seen that since.

I can’t find the original thread I was commenting on but this is pretty close. I had an issue with Gigapixel crashing on my M2Pro whenever I used the ā€œreimagineā€ model. I updated from OS 15.1 to 15.1.1 and it is now working. Super slow…but working.

I’ve just purchased Gigapixel and have been doing some experimenting. Redefine Beta has crashed the program every single time I’ve run it.

Had the same issue and I think I found where the issue comes from. Do you all have the data folder not on the default folder ? ā€œC:/ProgamData/Topaz Labs LLC/Topaz Gigapixel AIā€ on Windows.
I had it on another disk and reinstall Gigapixel with default folders. And now Redefine is finally working !
Of course I still don’t want the data folder and its 20GB of models on my C drive so I created a symlink to the folder on the other disk and it does the trick.

But please developers, fix this bug so we can set freely a different path to the data folder and experience no crash with redefine. Thanks.

My first redefine of an image came out okay, except for a random bluish translucent box rendered over part of the image. It’s not in the original image, and it just covers part of the image. It’s very odd.

Tried 2 different computers and I’ve yet to get past the stage where I actually get a preview. It always hangs either on the green bar complete, ā€œRendering image… FInishing upā€¦ā€, and probably other similar stages but I’ve yet to get any kind of preview. And I’ve let computers sit overnight to process, tried different images, etc.

If it helps, I’m trying out the demo. But, I’d like to see how it works before I buy, so any help is appreciated!!

yeah, the program is on the default folder, so it can’t be that.
i don’t particularly want the 20gb folder on C drive either, and it’s not even working!
it’s been almost 4 weeks since they’ve replied to this, which isn’t encouraging…
