Removed parts appearing in thumbnail of saved file

Steps to reproduce issue:

  1. Step 1 Scale image DOWN by a factor of 2
  2. Step 2 Edit subject and sharpen subject only
  3. Step 3 remove a part of the image
  4. Save image (as jpeg)

The preview/working area looks fine, so does the saved image, but the thumbnail in the file explorer contains the removed parts
