Remove tool

I purchased the latest upgrade for this software for $79. Just for the fact it had a remove tool only to find it agonisingly slow. Gave up on this software and back to photoshop which takes seconds.
Total waste of $79.

The difference is that the Generative AI of Photoshop does only work when you have an internet connection.

Because it does the compute on the server of Adobe and not on your computer.

Photoshop does send your image, over the internet to adobe and does a context calc.

TPAI does this on your computer, so a powerful GPU is needed.

But at 5 year old RTX GPU with at least 8 GB Vram is good enought to have a good performance and the developement will improove performance in future updates.

Exactly. This is like those Cloud gaming services for people who have a too weak computer so the actual processing is outsourced into a performant host system on the cloud and just the results transferred back to the client.

Those cloud based generative Remove/inpainting tools work the same way. So their performance actually has nothing to do with the performance of your system but more the internet speed…

Thanks for your purchase. We are working on the improvement of the speed. There will be a huge jump in the future releases.

Is what he said, you seem to be saying the opposite.

Internet speeds nothing special here, if it based on the internet, why do we need 8gb gpu?

My post was a reply to this statement

So I think it should be clear enough that I of course spoke of Adobes solution.

So PAI is not cloud based?

Topaz has no cloud service.

You need a internet connection to activate it but not for work with it.

If you pull the internet plug while using adobe generative ai it will stop instant.

That is good to know, I don’t need the internet to process my images.

You can get a refund, if within 30 days of purchase. Yes the remove tool is slow, especially if you don’t have decent gpu.

Topaz said it will get faster.
