Remove (BETA) - Reset should work once painting area starts

When you start painting an area to be ‘removed’ you cannot undo the paint selection (reset) without processing the image. If you close the ‘remove’ function and then relaunch it, it still has your old selection painted in and again the on way to fix it is to process the image and then disregard the changes.

Steps to reproduce issue:

  1. Select the Remove (BETA) function with an image loaded
  2. Paint over an area you do not want to remove (this can happen by accident)
  3. Now try and clear your selection without first having to process the image

I have no idea why you don’t look at the options you have there before saying it is a bug, you can undo all by using Clear under Mask Control…

Thanks for getting back on this so quickly. Did they release any instructions on this new feature? So, clear is for before you apply the mask and reset is to revert after you have applied the mask. It would be great if they just created an education video on it to save us both some time.

Well it is still in beta, have you checked in the Support Link under the Help menu … That will take you to the user guide.
