Using Gigapixel 8.4.1 on a Mac Studio (M3 Ultra, 96 GB unified memory), the Redefine Creative model consistently fails to render previews and full exports. Local processing produces a solid gray output, or the application becomes stuck mid-render with no error.
This issue occurs under the following conditions:
• Input image: 813×544 JPG, sRGB
• Upscale: 4× (final output: 3252×2176)
• Creativity level: Low
• Texture: Default (3)
• File is stored locally (not on a network drive)
• AI Processor: Apple M3 Ultra selected manually (not Auto)
• Redefine Realistic and Standard models work without issue
Steps to reproduce:
1. Open image in Gigapixel 8.4.1
2. Select Redefine Creative model, 4× upscale, Low creativity
3. Click preview or export
4. Output is a flat gray swatch, or processing freezes
Expected behavior:
Preview and export should generate enhanced imagery. Instead, the result is an unusable output.
