I process a small clip with poor light quality and got the same thing back after an hour of processing with a huge file. I can just use the old one this was a waste of money

There are several reasons for this. With no information to help me make a good suggestion, here’s my shot in the dark:
The video needs the noise cleaned out.
Run a first pass of nyx version 1, (2 is broken right now) on auto settings. Run a second pass of Proteus manual settings. Fix compression at ~50, improve details at ~10, Sharpen at ~15, Reduce Noise and Dehalo at 0 and Anti-Alias/Deblur at -80.
The new 4.0 release makes it very easy to select in/out cut points. Select about 5-10 seconds to preview and try out a few algorithms 
That wait you don’t have to commit to one for the whole video

To gather logs, please select Help > Logging and make sure that there is a check mark next to File Logging. Next, recreate the issue and then return to the Help menu and select > Get Logs for Support and attach the “logsForSupport” file to your reply.
