Here’s something taken as a NatGeo Photographer documenting the 2015 BioBlitz at the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. The BioBlitz is held each year at a national park and is an intense period of biological surveying in an attempt to record all the living species within a designated area. Groups of scientists, naturalists and volunteers conduct an intensive field study over a continuous time period. As a selected photographer to document the event it was a surprise, an honor and remains a very small feather in my cap I’m kind of proud of. When I read the invitation from NatGeo, I first thought it was a scam and almost deleted it. But then I read note a second time and though “Oh my…”
Nice image and congrats on being chosen.
