I have noticed that whenever there is water, like a lake or river in the image, Video AI (in Version 3 -all updates) smears or blurs out a portion of the water. It leaves some waves intact and other portions completely blurred out. It can’t tell whether they are waves or it thinks is noise. I was doing uprezzed videos from Mini DV using the Dione DV model on one video, and some other uprezzes from 1080P also with Dione. All instances I also used stabilization options. The Mini DV stuff has interlaced selected as well. Can we fix this blurring issue in version 4?
Thanks for the feedback! We have noticed that fine particles like water droplets and sand tend to be tough situations for the AI models. We hope to improve output quality for these more challenging scenarios in future updates.
It’s not so much water droplets, but waves themselves. It completely blurs out waves in sections of the image, while leaving other parts alone. It seems to think the waves are noise, so it covers it up.
