Processing speed when saving

The processing speed of changed photos is so slow. In some cases up to 10 minutes per photograph.
I’m changing Jpeg pics to jpeg. some are only 1.1MB and staying around the same size. Still so slow.

Any photograph being changed, if I tweek any setting such as increase noise or sharpness setting, it also then takes up to 5 minutes to process the new image.

Am I doing something wrong?

We definitely need more info about your system (CPU /GFX card) and the type / resolution of the photo

its a mac 2.2 GHz Dual-Core Intel Core i7, 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3, Intel HD Graphics 6000 1536 MB.

OK, this machine of course is slow at such tasks, you can quite forget the integrated Intel “HD” gfx solution.

Still, 10 minutes seems a bit much to me. What size/resolution do the images have?
I still have an older Intel base mac mini Late 2018 Core i3 here which I could test on.

@adamhughes You can try selecting the different AI processors and see which one works faster.

Go to the Topaz Photo AI Menu option > Preferences > General menu > AI Processor > CPU. Then try it with your Intel HD Graphics 6000.

Thanks so much. The photos I am working on at the moment. Most are only about 2MB. After doing some changes, the AI creating its best option, and then me usually sharpening with Lens blur, they stay about the same size. Some even reduce in size, 2.1MB to 545KB

Thanks for the update!

Thanks for the suggestion. I tried, but it made no difference to the processing of the photo or the cleaning-up timeframe.

Let’s try updating the drivers for your graphics card. Please use this link: https://downloadmirror.intel.com/30196/a08/win64_15.40.5171.exe

See if that helps with the speed!

This seems like spam and a virus. I clicked on it and downloaded the file. The only think that came up is " Save Ukrain" This is our home, Help Ukrain.

That’s odd. It should start downloading the driver update to your computer right away. If that link doesn’t work, you can find the driver for your GPU on the official Intel website and download it from there.
