Hello!
One of the latest updates to Topaz Photo AI removes half the color saturation from the OM-1 Mark-II .ORF files, and maybe something else that isn’t immediately noticeable. On July 17, everything was definitely still fine.
Greetings,

Hello!
Thanks for responding to my problem!
I have been using Topaz Photo AI for about three years. From time to time there have been various anomalies besides software updates. Fortunately, they will be eliminated soon, with subsequent software updates. At the beginning of July I bought a new camera OM-1 Mark II. Using Topaz Photo AI, I removed noise from the files and added sharpness where needed. Everything worked great. On 04.08, when I opened the Topaz Photo AI file, I discovered that the color saturation is significantly reduced, the white balance, contrast and sharpness change slightly. Today the same thing happens with files I processed in July without any problems. after which software update the problems occurred, I can’t say. I also constantly process Panasonic Lumix G9 and Canon 5D, 6D and 450D files, there are no problems with them.
I sent the original file, the file processed by Topaz Photo AI, a screenshot of the Topaz Photo AI desktop and a screenshot of the Adobe Bridge desktop with the original file and the processed file open side by side to your Dropbox.
And now that I sent those files, I discovered another very strange thing. Looking at the original file and the processed file in the Finder, the color saturation of the processed file is even more intense than the original file. However, Adobe Bridge, Adobe RAW Converter, Adobe Photoshop show just such a difference as can be seen from the screenshot, where the original and processed file are side by side. And, of course, Topaz Photo AI shows the file with the faded color saturation.
At the same time, I have not changed any settings either on my computer or in any of the programs I use. As soon as there is a software update for something, I will update. And the problem suddenly appeared only with the OM-1 Mark II files. Everything works with files from other cameras. I just checked now.
Sincerely,
Jaanus Siim

I did some testing, and I can confirm that there is an issue with the colors shifting when importing to Photo AI. I get similar results when importing directly to Photo AI and using the RAW plugin out of Lightroom Classic. I created a ticket for the development team to have a look at, and I will reply directly to this thread when they release a fix.
In the meantime, the only way to avoid the color shift is to use this path in Lightroom Classic: Photo > Edit in > Topaz Photo AI. I know it’s not ideal, as you don’t have access to the RAW Denoise capabilities of Photo AI.
Hi. I wrote about this a couple of months ago but nothing has changed yet. So here is my issue: When I process an ORF file (Raw file from Olympus OM 1 mk2) in the standalone version of Photo A| (because I don’t use Lightroom), the colors are not right. They default to a very muted colour scheme and the image appears partly desaturated.
So I cannot sharpen and denoise a RAW file without losing the colors profile of the OM1 MK2.
When can I expect this camera profile to be supported ?

Hi John,
I sent you the original file and a processed image via DropBox.
I didn’t sent a screenshot because I don’t know what to send.
I was working in the standalone version of Topaz AI and made no adjustments.
I had sent a similar email a couple of months ago but you had said then you were sending it to the “team” but nothing happened.
It would be very nice if this issue was resolved.
Thanks in advance for your help.
Lucie
