I tried - using the Update function tab in the program - to update it three times and each time it failed. Ultimately, I had to uninstall the program completely and reinstall it from scratch, which worked. I have never had this problem before and nothing had been altered on my system relative to Photo AI since the prior update.
Lets hope mine installs, it is over 30 minutes already. Crazy amount of time, just to do an update. I can install Photoshop in far less time.
Why is everything so slow on Topaz?
Well mine did install, took 45 minutes.
I have never had any previous problems with any of the Topaz products. I, perhaps like yourself, “don’t leave home without them”!
I actual stopped my subscript for Denoise, Sharpen and a Gigapixel after testing thoroughly a comparison file.
The three standalone, irrespective of how I tried to tweak them manually didn’t measure up to the results I tit with Photo AI.
I would just uninstall your current version and start with a clean slate.
Happy Trails to You - I mean happy editing to you!
I still find Sharpen AI better than PAI. For noise I use DxO now, think that is better. Having problems with DeNoise, removing a lot of detail on some images.
AutoPilot never works on my images.
Try running your image - after you are through and happy editing it - a second time through Photo AI.
Ages ago, Dave Kelly - who is one of the three here on YouTube I find most prescient, circumspect and enjoyable to watch - Unmesh Dida of PixImperfect and Anthony Morganti - being the other two whose mentoring ministrations I pursue!
Dave once said of Topaz Denoise that if you run a file through a second time - it can - at least sometimes - yield a substantive, noticeable improvement over just once and over.
I find this is even more so true with Photo AI - frankly, the results I have gotten blow me away in terms of the file’s quality and printing - in LARGE sizes - that it yields.
Colours have all changed on PAI, instead of red it it a muddy orange colour. What is going on now? Others have been reporting this also.
Interesting - I hadn’t noticed that - will have to be attentive.
I am sure that they are working on fixing it. Any time I have had a problem, the guys and gals at Topaz have risen to the occasion - gone above and beyond the call of duty! LOL
Not - to put too fine a point on it!
Can’t handle ProPhoto it seems.
