Problem in traveling

Hello,

Since the last version of Topaz, I notice that there are sometimes jerks in the tracking shots once Topaz gives the final file.

Let me explain: when I open the file being written, there are no jerks, but as soon as Topaz finishes its work, there are jerks in the tracking shots.

I didn’t have this problem in other versions of Topaz, only since the latest one.

The problem only seems to be present when I encode in H.264. When I switch to H.265, my videos regain their fluidity in tracking shots.

Thanks.

Would it be possible to get a sample file uploaded? Both the input and output would be helpful:

Hello Tony,

First of all, thank you for looking into my problem.

I have just sent you the two files: the one that served as the basis and the output file generated by Topaz.

If it can help you, I also attach my settings on the image below :

The defective encoding is carried out with the H.264 “constat” bitrate 120Mb/s, mkv.

By cons, I did not understand what you mean by sending you a note?
Excuse me, I am writing to you with an online translator.

Thanks for sharing your sample files! It looks like this stuttering effect is caused by the bitrate of the video. In some situations, your system will not be able to reliably process a 120Mb/s H264 video and the bitrate would need to be lowered to make sure that it can play back correctly. I would recommend a maximum bitrate of 60Mb/s for H264 video.

Here’s a link to a recording showing both videos side-by-side.

Thank you for your answer but what I don’t understand is that I have always used a speed of 120Mb/s and before that it had never been a problem.
Also, to avoid problems related to compression, I need to use a high bit rate, especially in dark videos like in the example I gave you.

Excuse me for posting a second message in a row, but I have just tested at 60Mb/s as you advised me and the problem persists for me.

Do you know which version you were using before updating? I’d like to try testing the same versions and comparing the results.

Hello,
After checking, the latest version that was good for my videos was v3.3.9.
I tried this morning to download this version to be sure and I confirm that with it, I have no problems with my videos, including the one I gave you a sample.

Great, thanks for confirming! Our team is looking into this now.

Hello,

Perfect, thank you for everything you do!
When a new version fixes this problem, could you also notify me?

I thank you in advance.

Good evening @tony.topazlabs
Do you have any news regarding this issue? Having purchased your software last November, I will soon no longer be eligible for updates and I would really like to be able to use one of your new versions with this problem corrected!
Thanks!

Would you be able to try the latest release (3.5.4)? It includes some backend changes that may resolve this issue. We have not been able to directly replicate it so confirming the fix has been tough for us since we’re looking for frame-timing issues that may only affect certain videos/hardware.

Good morning,
Thank you for this update, after testing I can confirm that it solved my problem!
