The bug / behavior you have encountered
When I render a preview for interlaced VHS footage, the render shows something several seconds away. It does this when I set an in/out point to render as well. I can’t set the right in/out points or even compare before and after. The input framerate is 29.97, as is the output. -

The most recent log file is like 100 pages long. I’m no going to paste it into here, I’m just reporting a bug per the link in the application. -
Screen grab
There’s no way to attach a file and am not allowed to link to imgur??
At least from 5.0.3
I’ve found it kind of helps to render the whole preview (in to out) and play from there, but it seems like a bug with the program.
I wonder if this is related to .m2ts input files. That is the default of the Hauppauge converter I used to capture the VHS tape. It’s given me headaches before (capturing old video game footage for a YouTube channel).
This seems to have been fixed with the last update (5.3.4). .M2TS is much more responsive and synced A-B.
It’s been un-fixed in 5.3.5. >:(
