Preview low res for faster playback

Once the preview loads up, playback is extremely smooth which is fantastic. But I wonder if the option for a 20%-75% resolution preview for example would benefit the overall wait time for users who only have slowmo/stabilization needs, and dont require a full res preview

I don’t think it’s worth it for them to spend any time on this. I think even with slow motions or stabilization, the full resolution output will have different artifacts and such that weren’t there in the low res preview.

Just use the 5 frames preview length. I rarely use more than 2-5 seconds.

I remember back in version 2.6.4 when you could preview a single frame. That was very useful since I have a slow computer.

Yes, sometimes I render on a supposedly fast Alienware R17 laptop. I get all of 0.7 - 0.9 FPS. I have learned to hate videos encoded at 30 FPS because all those extra frames have to be processed compared to many less at 23.9 FPS.
