Preview is different from export

Odd, the preview is what I expect and looks great, but when I export or save the image it’s completely different from the preview. No matter what I change, the preview will change but the output is always the same.

Very strange. What version of Gigapixel are you currently running on your machine?

Hi. Version 8.01 and the way i resolved it is i stopped using the same image that i imported i was working on. I then grabbed the original image in my library and duplicated it gave it a new name and now Gigapixel works as expected with this duplicate file.

That’s a wonderful update! Please let us know if any future conflicts arise.

Hmmm it’s doing it again. The preview is the output that I want. When I export the image. The picture of my wife face is changed to like the typical Topaz girl LOL… I can take a screen shot of the preview and show you the export, but I don’t want it to be public…is there a way I can send it privately?

It may be more helpful to reach out to Support@topazlabs.com as this will allow us to communicate through email rather than forum post. I’ll be sure to take care of your ticket personally.

Oh cool. I can then send screen shots. Thank you. I’ll get that done.

I think I’m having this same issue. I made a thread about it. It always seems to either use the same seed at export, or maybe cache something somewhere, but i can’t fix the problem no matter what version I install or what cache or data files I delete.

FYI I’m using a “large” image around 1000 pixels wide. The preview works fine, but regenerating the entire image or using export always gives the same result.

Btw, on a 7.x.x version, I am able to at least get the speed recovery model to regenerate a new image every time…but the quality model always produces the same output.

Have you tried 8.0.2? That was suggested to me by support and that version has no problems for me.

Tried using 8.0.2 just now but getting the same problem. Not sure if I need to do a clean install or anything first to get it to work, but, yeah, same exact problem

For me I downloaded 8.0.2 installer. I then deleted the App and empty the trash. I rebooted then ran the 8.0.2 installer. Made sure i reset each preferences settings to default.
