I noticed that applying effects in Studio would produce a certain final effect and then when I saved the picture, went back to a host program or applied the effects, the color would de-saturate or the look would be changed. I finally figured out that to get the correct color and look, the HD preview has to be turned on. However this means that the default (off) can sometimes mislead you. I don’t think this affects all adjustments but some like smudge or impression. Its best to check with HD Preview turned on before saving.
I agree with you, I just turn on HD all the time, and it dies not seem to sow me down too much

Topaz should fix the discrepancy but at least have a preference check box to keep it on by default.
