Hi, I just installed Gigapixel 8.3.0 . This version seem to work as stand alone. However, it doesn’t work in Photoshop as plugin. Please see the attachment
Thanks for sharing! We are currently investigating other plugin issues and this may be related to what we are working on.
Any chance you can send us the original image and your Gigapixel system logs?

Hi, I’ve also installed GigaPixel 8.3.0. It’s not working for me either. If I install a PNG image from Photoshop (as I’ve been doing up until now), it creates a semi-transparent layer without any valid image, where the scaled image should be.
I’m using Photoshop 2025 and a MacBook Pro m4. What am I doing wrong? Is there a solution? How can I go back to the previous version?
I’ve attached an image of the result.
I’m getting this same result when using the plugin. Rolling back to 8.2.
Same ghosting with me. Standalone app is fine. Just the Photoshop plugin. Happened after latest update.
I rolled back to 8.2.2 and I am now getting this result there too. I’m going to go in and uproot everything gigapixel related and see if I can fix it. This is NOT how updates should go. I really dislike having to spend hours reinstalling software and submitting bug reports because a product I have been using perfectly decided to bork itself when I do an update.
Same issue here on windows with PS2025 and the new update
I purged any traces of gigapixel from the library prefs folders and caches and reinstalled 8.3 and am back to functional. I hope this gets worked out.
Installed 8.3.1 which resolves the issue with a completely unusable standard result, but half the time i try it i get large artifacts. Repeatable. No noticeable way to resolve it. definitely stay away from the new 8.3.x versions if you have work to get done.
