I have posted several messages here and trying to explain that v.3.3.x of Video AI does not perform for me as well as v.2.3.x. Nobody helped me out. My only request now is please tell me how to downgrade to my previous version, v. 2.3.x. (I should not have remove it from my PC).
You just download whichever release of v2.x you want from the releases section of the forum. They can live side by side on the same system because they are different apps. You didn’t have to uninstall v2 to use v3.
Thank you. I downloaded v 2.6.4 and it works.
let us know if v2.64 provides you the same satisfactual quality level you seeking for as v2.3.
I am interested to know if there is difference between the quality in the v2.x family itself or it is only between v2.x and v3.x family.
I tried a few options using v2.6.4. Among them the “Dione Interlaced Robust” and “Dione Interlaced Robust Dehalo”. worked for me. Their effect is the same as v 2.3.x that I previously used. Today I tried v 3.x, the result is also good. For me, v.2.x and v.3.x can generate the same good results that can remove the interlace. The input video is a low quality 720*480p format. After the Topaz process they all look great.
The issue that I just found out is that if I convert the original 480p low grade video to 720p or 1080p using Microsoft ClipChamp, then none of the deinterlace algorithm of Topaz works. Can you explain this strange behavior?
I don’t know MS Tool you referring to, but my guess is that the tool just upscales the video without actually deinterlacing it 1st.
