Placing teeth were the picture has a closed mouth

It is very common (not just with your software but others I have tried, that teeth are created where there are none in a potrait photo that is blurred. Can something be done about that?

Steps to reproduce issue:

  1. Step 1 -upload photo
  2. Step 2 - select sharpen, recover faces and enhance resolution
  3. Step 3 - process the image

Have also seen this before, when there is shiny lipstick even though there is clearly no teeth lines in the blurry source it still hallucinates them.

Yes, its hard to get around it.

Please send the following information so I can try to reproduce this.

  1. The original image file.
  2. The processed image.

We will be improving the Face Recovery AI model soon to handle these situations. The AI models use the information available to make a best guess at what is happening. It’s likely picking up the shine as teeth due to the difference in color.

I just sent the before and after photos.

Thanks for sending this. I was able to reproduce the issue and shared it with my team for review so we can work on it when we improve the Face Recovery AI model.

I got a better result that avoided this artifact by processing the image once with Sharpen on and Face Recovery off. I then processed the image a second time with Face Recovery on and got this.

Thank you for your help!
