I still do not like PhotoAI compared to using the former standalone Topaz AI tools. It is slow and does constant screen redraws that are vey annoying.
Also, why can’t I open a jpg image, process it and have the results overwrite the original file? Instead, Photo AI will save a a new file with a jpeg extension. So after using PhotoAI on a jpg, I need to delete the original file the rename the jpeg to jpg. Extra work for me for no good reason.
I will continue to use DeNoiseAI and Sharpen AI instead of PhotoAI until they no longer work. They are faster, less clunky and I like their results better. When they stop working, I guess I will switch to another company’s products.
I realize PhotoAI has appeal as a simpler product of amateur photographers. But for those of us looking to more discreet and targeted adjustments and know what we need, it is just dumbing down.
