Photo AI won't load in Edit mode in Apple Photos

Try to include logs (Help → Logging) and add screenshots if necessary.] Apple iMac Retina 5k, 27-inch 2017, 64 GB RAM, Ventura 13.6.4 (upgraded 2 days ago), loaded Topaz AI 2.3.0 today. Try to load in Photos > Image > Edit With, gives error: “An error occurred while preparing external edit. The operation couldn’t be completed. (PHHotosErrorDomain error 3306)”. Also nothing happens when selecting Photo AI while in Photos Edit mode.

Steps to reproduce issue:

  1. Select photo
  2. Photos > Image > Edit with
  3. Select Topaz Photo AI
  4. Error message: “An error occurred while preparing external edit. The operation couldn’t be completed. (PHHotosErrorDomain error 3306)”

When in Photos > Edit Mode:

  1. Photo to edit is selected.
  2. IF photo is cropped and Adjusted Photo AI will not work.
  3. IF photo is not edited at all Photo AI WILL work.
  4. This has happened before with older versions but somehow fixed itself. In Privacy and Security > Photos: Topaz AI is not listed but other photo editing applications are (PhotoScape X, PhotoStitcher)

Hi Please rerun your installer and try the two methods below

  1. You select edit in the top right corner → Hit the 3 dots and select “edit in Topaz Photo AI” → After you complete your edit you hit save to apple → then hit yes on the apple popup. This way, you will save your changes but override the image in your photos with the newly edited images. Keep in mind you can always revert the changes made to the images at a later time

  2. You right-click on the image → edit with → Topaz Photo AI-> make your changes but it doesn’t save the image back in your photos it saves it somewhere on your computer

If the issue persists, then it’s likely a bug in the update version itself, which, in that case, I’ve provided the 2.2 version below for you to revert to!
