Photo AI Upscaling: cannot change image size in this mode?

[Using Photo AI as a plugin to Affinity Photo 2.5.5. Photo AI and Topaz Gigapixel AI are on the latest versions. All modelds downloaded.
When selecting Photo AI as a plugin, clicking on Upscale, I get the help text “cannot change the image size in this mode”. To me that is abacadabra … which mode is meant???

The file is a 16 bit TIF in ProPhotoRGB from a 50 MP sensor. Wanted to upscale 2x.

Upscaling the same image in Gigapixel AI (also 2x) works fine.

I am on a Mac.

Appreciate any explanation of what is going on and how to solve it!

Steps to reproduce issue:

  1. Select Photo AI as a plugin in AP
  2. Select Upscale

I found out about all this by upscaling the file 2x. And then back in AP checking the image size - which had not changed one bit. I then went for a search and discovered the message I showed you in the screen recording: “cannot change the image size in this mode”.

Thank you for letting me know. I just uploaded the file and received the confirmation by e-mail. Hopefully it now works.
There is no sound recording. At the end of the recording I show the preference settings for upscaling as well, so you can check if I configured a setting not right.
