Batch processing via the recommended plug-ins route results in one or two of the raw files having their metadata altered the instant you select the app. I process 6 at a time since I have found this to be most effective. When the DNG files are then returned they all initially appear then Lightroom states that no image is selected. Deselecting then re-selecting them makes them appear. They are always present in the filmstrip at the bottom of the screen.
@brian.lee8 Thanks for reaching out.
Please upload a few of the raw files here so I can run some tests and document it for my team.
In the meantime, you can try using the Photo > Edit in > Topaz Photo AI workflow which will process a TIF instead of a RAW. It won’t keep the metadata but it should export back into Lightroom properly.
The problem I reported some time back is still present in the latest version of Photo AI. Your other modules of Denoise and Gigapixel do not exhibit this defect but maybe that is because they return a tiff. I will try your suggestion of using tiff instead of DNG when returning images to Lightroom. Additionally the latest version adds artefacts to skin as if everyone has freckles and the autopilot never deals with noise unless it is anything other than low. I therefore have to sample each of the images in my batch of 6 and apply this manually to the improvements. Still a fantastic app though in what it does.
Thanks for the update. Can you submit a support ticket at support.topazlabs.com about the freckles? We’ll be able to securely collect specific info about your computer and images and help you troubleshoot it.
